K&G Automotive has won the Automotive and Transport (Small) category at the 2026 Logan Business Distinction Awards, announced by the Logan Chamber of Commerce on Friday 11 September 2026.
It is the third year in a row the Underwood workshop has won the category, after wins in 2024 and 2025. It also takes K&G Automotive to five Logan Business Distinction Awards since 2018, including Logan Business of the Year.
If you are deciding where to take a Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, MINI, Škoda or Land Rover, a result like that is worth a moment of your time. It is an independent judging panel reaching the same conclusion about the same workshop, three years apart.
What K&G Automotive won in 2026
K&G Automotive won the Automotive and Transport (Small) category at the 2026 Logan Business Distinction Awards, run each year by the Logan Chamber of Commerce.
The awards recognise businesses across Logan for business performance and management, innovation, environmental sustainability, inclusiveness and accessibility, community contribution, and resilience. Entrants submit written evidence against each area, and an independent panel reviews it. For a workshop, much of that evidence comes back to the things a customer actually feels: quality workmanship, honest advice and clear communication.
K&G Automotive was named a finalist in August and confirmed as the category winner at the awards night on Friday 11 September 2026.
Three years running in Automotive and Transport
Winning once is a good year. Winning the same category three years in a row is a pattern.
2024, 2025 and 2026. The same category, the same workshop, three separate judging panels working from three separate submissions.
For customers, that consistency is the point. A workshop can have a strong year. What matters when you are handing over the keys to a European car is whether the standard holds, month after month, across thirteen staff and every job that comes through the door.

What does an award actually tell you about a workshop?
On its own, not much. Plenty of businesses collect trophies.
What makes a business award useful to a customer is what sits behind it. A submission has to be evidenced. The judges ask how the business is run, how customers are looked after, how staff are trained and developed, and what the business contributes beyond its own profit.
So an award is not a promise that your car will be fixed correctly. It is a signal that an outside panel has looked at how the workshop operates and found it sound.

“This award belongs to our customers first,” said K&G Automotive owner Shlomi Kuba. “Some of them have been bringing their cars to us since 2008. They trusted a small independent workshop with a European car when they could go somewhere bigger, and they kept coming back. Everything we have built sits on that.”

“And to the other businesses who entered, congratulations,” Shlomi said. “Putting your business in front of a judging panel takes nerve. The standard across Logan is high, and being in that room is a good place to be.”
Why awards like these matter to small business
Running a small business is relentless. The work in front of you tends to crowd out any chance to look at the work behind you.
“Preparing an award submission is one of the few times in the year we actually stop and take stock,” Shlomi said. “You have to sit down and look at what the business has done, what the team has achieved and what has changed. Finalist or winner, that is worth doing on its own.”
“It also makes you ask the next question. What now? How do we do this better next year? That is probably the most valuable thing the Chamber gives local business, and it has nothing to do with who takes home the trophy.”
